Philippians 2:4
Philippians 2:4 “Let each of you esteem and look upon and be concerned for not [merely] his own interests, but also each for the interests of others.”
As you know, one of my favorite Spiritual Gifts is Encouragement. But really, all believers have the desire and the ability through the power of the Holy Spirit to be encouragers to the Body of Christ. The Word of God is chocked full of scriptures that will bless others. My thought is-if it blesses me, then I am sure that it will bless others. And I have seen over and over again, the Lord make the difference in, yes, and even change the course of another person’s life with the very scripture they needed at the moment they needed it. Our Lord gave them the Life-changing Word they needed to overcome the enemy of our souls, and have overwhelming victory in the Him. My prayer is always, “Lord, point me to the one You want to bless, and give me the Word that will bless them.”
Today, these encouraging Words have blessed me and I pray will also bless you, as well.
What God starts He brings to completion. Philippians 1:6“And I am convinced and sure of this very thing, that He Who began a good work in you will continue until the day of Jesus Christ [right up to the time of His return], developing [that good work] and perfecting and bringing it to full completion in you.”
All good things come from God. James 1:17 “Every good gift and every perfect (free, large, full) gift is from above; it comes down from the Father of all [that gives] light, in [the shining of] Whom there can be no variation [rising or setting] or shadow cast by His turning [as in an eclipse].”
God is able, always. Ephesians 3:20 “Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]”
God will make a way. Behold, Isaiah 43:19 “I am doing a new thing! Now it springs forth; do you not perceive and know it and will you not give heed to it? I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”
Goodness, mercy and unfailing love will follow you all the days of your life. Psalms 23:6 “Surely or only goodness, mercy, and unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life, and through the length of my days the house of the Lord [and His presence] shall be my dwelling place.”
God is your friend. John 15:15 “I do not call you servants (slaves) any longer, for the servant does not know what his master is doing (working out). But I have called you My friends, because I have made known to you everything that I have heard from My Father. [I have revealed to you everything that I have learned from Him.]”
God has good plans for you. You can trust His plan. Romans 8:28 “We are assured and know that [God being a partner in their labor] all things work together and are [fitting into a plan] for good to and for those who love God and are called according to [His] design and purpose.”
God will be with you every step of the way. Isaiah 43:2 “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned or scorched, nor will the flame kindle upon you.”
God will give you Peace. Isaiah 26:3 “You will guard her and keep her in perfect and constant peace whose mind [both its inclination and its character] is stayed on You, because she commits herself to You, leans on You, and hopes confidently in You.” Yes and Amen!
God will strengthen you. Isaiah 41:10 “Fear not [there is nothing to fear], for I am with you; do not look around you in terror and be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen and harden you to difficulties, yes, I will help you; yes, I will hold you up and retain you with My [victorious] right hand of rightness and justice.”
God will help you. Isaiah 41:13 “For I the Lord your God hold your right hand; I am the Lord, Who says to you, Fear not; I will help you!”
God is your Refuge and Strength. Psalms 46:1 “God is our refuge and strength [mighty and impenetrable], A very present and well-proved help in trouble.”
God gives showers of blessings and Divine Favor. Ezekiel 34:26 “And I will make showers come down in their season; there will be [abundant] showers of blessing (divine favor).”
God never tires. Isaiah 40:28 “Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, does not faint or grow weary; there is no searching of His understanding.”
There is One (Jesus) who cares for you. His eye is fixed on you, His heart beats with pity for your woe, and His Hand omnipotent shall yet bring you the needed help. Spurgeon
As you mull over these beautiful scriptures that draw us closer to and make us fall more in love with Jesus Christ, why not ask God who He wants you to share them with. Then give them a call.
