Isaiah 41:10,13
Isaiah 41:10,13 “Fear not [there is nothing to fear], for I am with you; do not look around you in terror and be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen and harden you to difficulties, yes, I will help you; yes, I will hold you up and retain you with My [victorious] right hand of rightness and justice.13 For I the Lord your God hold your right hand; I am the Lord, Who says to you, Fear not; I will help you!”
“No words can comfort like the ones from the Father's own heart.” Rebecca Barlow Jordon
The Word of God gives hundreds of examples of our Lord intervening in the lives of His children. And each of us can recall times when we were confident that the Presence of our Lord Jesus had intervened in our lives during our everyday walk with the Lord or during times of crisis, when there was no other explanation than the Lord’s Presence prevailing in our lives.
I vividly remember a time, just a few years ago, when I was laying in a hospital bed in University of Chicago Hospital, as a team of nurses prepared me for emergency heart surgery for an aortic dissection, a life-or-death matter. I was confident that the Lord was near, holding my hand, because He gave me peace that passes understanding! The anesthesiologist was standing next to me, ready, when the doctor entered the operating room with the second set of x-rays and said he didn’t see any dissection at all! Praise the Lord! I will ever be grateful for these precious scriptures that encourage us to believe that our Lord Jesus longs for an intimate relationship with each one of His children. He always walks beside us, holding our hand.
No matter what circumstances, large or small, we may be facing, this promise stands firm that the Lord Jesus is standing with us, holding our hand. Could there be any safer place to be than in the Presence of the Lord and to have His undivided attention. This promise is for all. None are excluded. Philippians 4:7 “And the peace of God [that peace which reassures the heart, that peace] which transcends all understanding, [that peace which] stands guard over your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus [is yours].” Philippians 4:13 “I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency].”
